WHEN CAN I VISIT THE NIACC CAMPUS?
You and your family can either:
1) schedule an individual campus visit on a week day
2) choose one of our special Frame Your Future Fridays
3) choose one of our two Team NIACC Athletics Visit Days (for prospective Trojan student-athletes)
4) or visit on a Saturday.

The North Iowa Area Community College TEAM Visit Day offers athletes an exclusive opportunity to learn about NIACC athletic programs and talk with coaches and players. This is your chance to meet with athletic and admissions personnel to have your specific questions answered concerning athletics and academics at NIACC. You will be able to meet with the coach of your specific sport as well as many current NIACC student-athletes. NIACC’s TEAM Visit Day has to offer you:

When you visit campus you will receive enrollment information covering admission procedures, financial aid, housing, student life, academic programs and the many opportunities available to students at NIACC. We can arrange a visit with an instructor in the department of your choice. Your visit will include a walking tour of campus and the residence halls. Other activities can be arranged according to your special interests. These individual campus visits are not available on Frame Your Future Fridays. To schedule your individual visit and tour, call the Admissions Office, 1-888-GO NIACC, ext. 4245 at least one week in advance. You may choose to visit campus on a Saturday morning when you and your family can attend a group presentation and a campus tour. This option is intended for students who do not need individual counseling, but instead want an overview of admissions requirements, financial aid, academic programs, and student life. Faculty are not available on Saturday visits. Saturday visits will be held:

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE A VISIT?
The Admissions Office is open
weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We recommend that you contact us at least
one week in advance so that we can arrange a personal visit for you or
reserve a place in one of our Frame Your Future Fridays, or Saturday visits.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE A VISIT?

Decide whether you would like to come to NIACC for a campus visit or for a special Frame Your Future Friday. We have provided schedules for campus visits and Frame Your Future Fridays to help you in your decision. If you are planning a summer visit, please note that the campus visit options are subject to change during the summer months.
To schedule a Frame Your Future Friday visit, simply

To schedule a campus visit on another day call the

visit an academic department, you need to indicate which academic program
you are most interested in. These individual campus visits are not available on the Frame Your Future Friday dates.
HOW DO I GET TO NIACC?
NIACC is located on the east edge of Mason City in
North Central Iowa. The countryside campus is about a 2-hour drive from
Minneapolis, Minnesota and Des Moines, Iowa. A map of Iowa showing

By Car
From the North or South:
Through Town...
Take Interstate 35 to Exit 194
You'll be traveling East on Highway 122
This highway takes you straight to NIACC (approximately 12 miles from the
Interstate)
NIACC will be on your left
(You're going to feel like you're heading out of town, but don't turn
around. You can't miss the sign!)
Skirting Town...
Take Interstate 35 to Exit 190
You'll be traveling East on Highway 18 (part of the Avenue of the Saints)
Turn off at Exit 190 (yes, it's the same number as before)
Go North on county road S56 (California Avenue) until you reach the stop
sign
Turn left onto Highway 122 and go approximately one-quarter mile
NIACC will be on your right
From the East:
Take Highway 18 West (part of the Avenue of the Saints)
Turn off at Exit 190
Go North on county road S56 (California Avenue) until you reach the stop
sign
Turn left onto Highway 122 and go approximately one-quarter mile

From the West:
Take Highway 18 East (it will change to Highway 122 at Clear Lake)

By Plane
Mason City is served by Mesaba Airlines, a Northwest Airlines link from
Minneapolis, MN. The other closest airports are Minneapolis/St. Paul
International Airport, Rochester, MN, Des Moines and Waterloo, IA.
By Bus
Mason City is served by Jefferson Bus Lines. A
bus station is located at the Mason City Municipal Airport.
