NIACC Accounting with Computers Diploma
Overview & Employment Information
Welcome to a career in bookkeeping and accounting! This program is designed to develop
attitudes, knowledge, and skills required for entry-level positions in this profession.
You may complete the diploma program with 2 semesters of suggested curriculum, or you may
choose to spread the program courses over 3 or more semesters.
In addition, you have the option of applying completed course work toward an Associate
in Science-Business degree or an Associate in General Studies degree. Graduates may also
continue toward an Associate in Arts Degree.

Employment Outlook
According to the Economic Research Institute's 2005 salary survey, the average
entry-level salary for an accounting clerk position on a national level was $22,075
per year ($10.61 per hour). Larger companies often offer higher salaries and benefits.
Also, jobs obtained by program graduates frequently offer great advancement opportunities.
