Are you stuck in a dead-end job? Do you want to get an education while you’re raising a family and working, but don’t know how to pay for it? Would it be fun to take your life in a totally new and different direction? Have you experienced struggles that have prevented you from going back to college? Any of those reasons are examples of who could enter the Extreme Makeover: College Edition contest.
What is Extreme Makeover: College Edition?
Extreme Makeover: College Edition is an easy way to makeover your life with a new education! It’s easy to enter! Simply write a 250-word essay telling us why your life needs or deserves an educational makeover.
If you’ve been thinking about going back to school or simply updating your skills, now is the time.
We have had past winners who always dreamed of a different career but never took the steps to make that dream come true. You can’t go wrong with an education — and for a couple of winners — a free education.
It's easy to enter:
- Submit your essay online.
- Then, a panel of judges will select five finalists.
- Once the five finalists have been selected, the public will vote to select the winners. That’s it! All five finalists will receive something!

Who should enter Extreme Makeover: College Edition?
If you’re at least 23 years-old and haven’t taken a NIACC credit class in the past three years, you’re eligible.
