Curriculum – Foundations of Technology Certificate

NIACC offers a flexible technology certificate that provides you with hands on experience in your area of interest. The Foundations of Technology Certificate is designed to give you foundational skills to help you get ahead in your job or help you get started in a new career path.

Upon successful completion of the Foundations of Technology curriculum (17 semester hours) with a grade point average of 2.00 (C) or higher, the student is awarded a Certificate.

CFR-110 Ethics and the Information Age 3 s.h.
NET-113 IT Essentials I 4 s.h.
NET-200 Introduction to Networking 3 s.h.
NET-304 Windows Workstation Operating Systems 4 s.h.
NET-613 Information Data Assurance 3 s.h.
Total Hours 17 s.h.

Prerequisite: NET-113 IT Essentials I or permission of instructor.

Not all courses are offered every semester; to stay on track, students are advised to
follow the suggested schedule.
