The Wellness, Exercise Science, & Leisure Services program offers a variety of degree options for students. Interested students can choose to complete a recommended plan for an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, a Physical Fitness and Wellness Diploma, and/or a Physical Fitness and Wellness Certificate. Students interested in the fields of personal training, athletic training, strength and conditioning, coaching, wellness/personal health, and fitness would benefit from one of these degree options.
The recommended plan for an A.A. degree provides a background in personal health and wellness designed to strengthen a student’s experience in the area. This degree option prepares students to transfer into a four-year wellness and/or exercise science program. The Physical Fitness and Wellness Diploma is designed to provide a foundation for students interested in group fitness and/or becoming a personal trainer. The Physical Fitness and Wellness Certificate is intended for individuals desiring an introduction to health and wellness.
