    • The Iowa Department of Education is requiring changes in the Teacher Education program. Keep informed of these changes at the ISU website. Since you enroll in the academic department of your chosen content area (and later apply for admission to Iowa State’s teacher education program), 4-year plans are specific to that program.     • A minimum 2.5 GPA is required for acceptance into the Teacher Education Program which is in the College of Human Sciences.
    • Students entering ISU for secondary licensure are admitted into the college that offers their teaching subject
    • Foreign language requirement of three years of high school or two semesters of college level.
