Housing Application
What to Bring:
- For the shower - a robe and slippers or shower flip flops, towels, washcloths, soap, personal toiletries and a plastic container to carry your things to the shower.
- For the laundry - laundry bag or basket, detergent and fabric softener, hangers, an iron and mini-ironing board.
- For your desk - school supplies, dictionary, notebooks, binders, desk lamp and possibly a personal computer or lap top (though a computer lab is located in the residence halls).
- For your room - power strip, small refrigerator* (no larger than 4 cubic feet), alarm clock, radio, TV/VCR/DVD Player (although a big screen TV is provided in the rec room), headphones (if you bring an audio system), phone, answering machine, small microwave oven, cups, coffee pot, toaster, fan, locking chest, and cable cord for cable hook-up. * You may rent refrigerators for $30 per semester; call to reserve one or send a note with your housing application/contract.
- For your bed - mattress pad and twin XL sheets (mattress is 38"x80"), pillow, pillowcases, blankets and bedspread/comforter.
- For transportation - bring your vehicle; we have plenty of free parking at our residence halls. (Most students walk to campus, but use their car for traveling around town.) If you’re not bringing a car, public transportation is available Monday through Friday.
What NOT to Bring:
- Pets (except fish)
- Air conditioners or space heaters
- Large refrigerators or large microwaves
- Candles or incense
- Cooking appliances (burners)
Moving In
You may move in the weekend before the semester begins. The specific dates and times will be noted in your assignment letter.
