Units of Information
Pixel - the smallest unit (picture element)
- digital cameras have a grid of sensors (pixels) that detect amount of light striking it and saves that information
Panchromatic -data collected from a single wavelength / bandwidth
Multispectral - data from several bandwidths
Hyperspectral - data from dozens or 100’s of bandwidths
