| 1948 | John Pappajohn, Des Moines, received the
Meredith Willson Heritage Award from the Mason City Foundation presented by Rosemary
Willson.

| 1963 | Dennis Webner, Mapleton, retired after 18
years as Superintendent of Maple Valley Community Schools.

| 1964 | Bob Elsbury, Garner, was named Academic
Dean for Hamilton College in Mason City.
|
|||
| 1968 | John Oertel, Mason City, was inducted into
the Minor League Football Association Hall of Fame. He has been an instructor and coach at
NIACC for 14 years.

| 1974 | Kim A. Larson, Osage, has joined the staff
at the Mercy Family Care - Nora Springs clinic as a nurse practitioner. She is also
affiliated with Mercy's Rockford clinic.

| 1975 | Susan L. Swenson, Phoenix, AZ, completed
her masters degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and is presently working for
Arizona West Obstetrics and Gynecology. |

| 1980 | Tim Espeland, Mason City, was hired as a
patrol officer for the Mason City Police Department.

| 1980 | Bill Paulus, Garner, has been working for
the Manufacturer's Bank & Trust in Forest City for the past four years.

| 1986 | Damon C. Dornbier, D.C., Mason City,
celebrated his grand reopening of his clinic in Mason City and is currently president of
the North Central District for the State Chiropractic Society.

| 1991 | Kari Linden, Minnetonka, MN, is an
Internal Auditor at United Health Care in Edina. Brad McKenzie, Charles City, has been promoted to Information Services Officer for the First Security Bank and Trust Company in Charles City. Brian D. Miller, Clear Lake, was named staff attorney at the new satellite office of the Oltrogge Law Offices in Thornton. Kirk and MaTina Clark, Allison, are middle school and high school teachers, respectively, for the Allison-Bristow school district.

| 1992 | Matthew J. Ritter, Clear Lake, has been
promoted to Assistant Vice-President at the Clear Lake Bank and Trust.

| 1995 | Mike Kalkwarf, Garner, has been named
purchasing manager at Iowa Mold Tooling Co.

| Shawn Horgen, Ames, was awarded the St.
Ansgar Garden Club Scholarship to assist her in completing her degree in horticulture at
Iowa State University. Brad Moore, West Waterloo, was recently drafted as a pitcher for the Oakland A's. After playing at NIACC, he completed his collegiate career at UNI. Carlena Weiland, Algona, is working for the Wilson-Harris Funeral Home and the Schellhammer-Harris Funeral Home. Mary Jo Vrba, Mason City, became the first transfer student athlete
to receive the J.W. Lynes Award, one of Wartburg College's top basketball honors. |
