“It was just a good team win,” Mark Mohl, NIACC head coach, said. “To go on the road and beat the No. 6 team, everybody played well.”
NIACC was aided by 11 three-point baskets, five by Kyle Cooper contributing to his 24 points. James Henderson hit three 3-pointers, en route to his team-best 30 points. KJay Jackson also found double figures, scoring 17 points for the Trojans (10-2).
NIACC travels to DMACC on Saturday.

TUSCON, Ariz. — The NIACC women’s basketball team dropped a 55-42 decision to Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Tuesday.
Nicole Eenhuis led NIACC (2-10), which plays at Pima Community College today, with 14 points before fouling out. Tiffany Braun added 13 points for the Lady Trojans.
“It was a tremendous effort,” NIACC coach John Oertel said. “But it’s hard to beat anybody when you shoot that poorly. The lid was on the basket.”
