NIACC Sets Blue & Gold Grapple Line-Up NIACC Announces Line-Ups for Blue & Gold Grapple Mason City—The North Iowa Area Community College wrestling team will hold it’s first ever Blue & Gold Grapple wrestle-offs this Saturday October 27, 2007 at 7:00 pm in the NIACC Gymnasium. The event, which is used to determine the starting line-ups for the fist dual on November 14th against regional foe Ridgewater Community College, will feature a dual meet format with 12 scheduled bouts and will be free to the public. The event will also feature four Honorary Coaches to lead each team. The Blue Team will be led by Newman Catholic High School Head Wrestling Coach Mark Bertsch. Newman High School is located in Mason City. The Blue Team will also be led by former NIACC head wrestling coach Kaye Young. Coach Young led the Trojans from 1967-76 and won the 1973 NJCAA National Championship as well as three runner-up finishes. The Gold Team will be led by Mason City High School head wrestling coach Dusty Rhodes who was a NCAA Division III national champion for Wartburg College.
