NIACC Medical Office Specialist Degree
Program Information

The Medical Office Specialist Degree provides for a rapidly changing occupational cluster. Employment opportunities are available for graduates with well-developed communication and technical skills.

NIACC's classrooms are equipped with the latest in computers, office machines, and technology. In addition, students are taught by supportive, qualified faculty who not only have high educational credentials, but also have real-life experiences. Small class sizes promote positive, interactive learning with instructors, and various methods are used for curriculum implementation.

Degree Earned

Upon satisfactory completion of the prescribed curriculum (at least 60 semester hours) with a minimum average grade point of 2.00 (C), the student is awarded an Associate in Science (Medical Office Specialist) Degree.

Costs

Tuition is based on the number of credit hours and legal residence and is subject to change or modification. Iowa resident tuition is $130.43 per semester hour for the Fall 2010 semester.

Financial Aid/Scholarships

Financial assistance is available in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, and part-time employment (work study). Students apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact the Financial Aid Office for financial aid and/or scholarship information.
