You'll share opinions, knowledge and expertise with a dynamic group of teachers and classmates. Course topics are determined according to the needs and interests of participants. From earth-friendly gardening to surfin' the net, you'll experience what interests you most.
Driver Safety
The Driver Safety course is produced by the
American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and is designed to improve
driving habits. It involves four hours of classroom instruction (two half-day
sessions) to refine existing driving skills and develop safe, defensive driving
techniques. The course covers the normal changes in vision, hearing and reaction
time associated with aging and provides practical techniques to compensate for
these changes. After completion of the course, a certificate is issued. Many
insurance companies give a deduction to those who have completed the course.
