North Iowa Area Community College is located on Hwy 122 on the east edge of Mason City in North Central Iowa. The countryside campus is about a 2-hour drive from Minneapolis, Minnesota or Des Moines, Iowa. 

Mason City is served by Mesaba Airlines, a Northwest Airlines link from Minneapolis, MN. The other closest airports are Des Moines and Waterloo, IA. 

From the North or South:

Through Town.....
Take Interstate 35 to Exit 194
Travel east on Hwy 122
This highway takes you through Mason City and directly to NIACC (approximately12 miles from the Interstate)
NIACC will be on your left (north)
(It will seem as though you’re heading out of town, but don’t turn around.  You can’t miss the sign!)

Skirting Town.....
Take Interstate 35 to Exit 190
Travel east on Hwy 18 (part of the Avenue of the Saints)
Turn off at Exit 190 (yes, it’s the same exit number as before on a different highway)
Go north on County Road S56 (also labeled California Avenue) until you reach the stop sign
Turn left onto Hwy 122 and go approximately one-quarter mile
NIACC will be on your right (north)

From the East:

Take Hwy 18 West (part of the Avenue of the Saints)
Turn off at Exit 190
Go north on County Road S56 (also labeled California Avenue) until you reach the stop sign
Turn left onto Hwy 122 and go approximately one-quarter mile
NIACC will be on your right (north)

From the West:

Take Hwy 18 East (it will change to Hwy 122 at Clear Lake after passing I-35)
This highway takes you through Mason City directly to NIACC (approximately 12 miles from Clear Lake)
NIACC will be on your left (north)

(A note about Mapquest. Their map is slightly inaccurate. The road shown as 4th St. SE (West of NIACC)  or 265th Street (East of NIACC) is also Highway 122. The Mapquest map shows the location of the NIACC dormitories. The campus is a bit farther south of the ponds, closer to Highway 122 - or 4th ST SE. )
