Position Title
Mathematics Instructor
Mathematics Division (Full-time, 9-month contract)

Job Summary
Provide instruction in mathematics courses beginning from Developmental Math through Calculus sequence (inclusive of Statistics and career-related math courses).

Responsibilities
Conduct effective instruction in all assigned areas. Maintain current course syllabi and outlines. Incorporate technology and various teaching strategies into the classroom. Participate in assessment and periodic evaluation of instructional programs. Participate in meetings and committees as designated to promote the development of the total College. Work with other faculty/staff and administration as assigned to promote the total College. Assist the College in recruitment activities. Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree with a minimum of 12 credit hours of graduate level courses in mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous collegiate teaching experience. Preferred MS degree (or higher) in mathematics with well-developed teaching skills and commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy.

Salary/Benefits
Salary based on education and experience.  Fringe benefits of Blue Cross/Blue Shield major medical health insurance, eye care, dental, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits as provided by Social Security and Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (IPERS) or TIAA-CREF.

The College
