MODULE TITLE - 3D Ceiling Framing


 

PREPARATION

 

Prerequisites

3A Wall Framing, 3B Wall Layout and Plating Detailing, 3C Floor Framing; Basic measuring skills and blueprint reading

Safety

Personal protective equipment, power hand tool procedures

Objectives

Layout, cut, and install ceiling joists. Cut taper on ends for all rafters. Assemble, erect, brace, and straighten bearing partitions. Identify various manufactured ceiling framing products. Explain how ceiling systems provide structural stability.
