Health
Course Description:
This course presents material high school students need
in order to understand how to become and to stay healthy. It teaches the
skills necessary to weigh options, to make responsible decisions, and to
develop behaviors that promote healthy life-styles.
Objective:
The student will complete eight units in the text,
including
chapter reviews and eight unit tests. Sixty percent accuracy is required
on all tests to pass. Retests are required on failed exams. Score from failed
test will be averaged with the retest score.
Textbook: Health - Choosing Wellness, 2nd edition by Roger Wayne Seehafter, Carol Bershad, and Deborah S. Haber, Prentice Hall, 1992.
