Troy's Journal

April 28, 2008 Well, as my freshmen year comes to a close, I feel much better at my chance
of survival in the college atmosphere. I enjoyed every minute of it and will
continue in the fall. The classes and my classmates have been an interesting
opportunity for me and given me some insight into the youth of the coming
generation, I hope! I've grown to understand that learning has no age limit.
and With a little determination and hard work anything can accomplished.
There are no words to thank the individuals who provided this opportunity
for me. Next to my children and grandchildren it has been the most positive
thing I ever accomplished in my life Thank you again
Sincerely
Troy Machin
August 29, 2007 My first two days have come and gone
in the blink of an eye. I had forgotten how fast pace
school is, tons of information in a very short hour. I
wonder if I will be able to absorb all of it as fast as
the instructors would like, but I'm still determined to
try; head down running (hopefully there won't be a wall
in the way) and home work, oh yea! I didn't get a chance
to forget about that. Have some in every class. The
instructors I have had seem to be very good at what they
do and willing to help, giving out numbers, email and
rooms where and when they are available after class
hours. I can't imagine the amount of time they put in,
but I get the feeling when I'm looking at them, that
behind their eyes they are saying to themselves ( Troy
what were you thinking ! )
Well must go for now, my wife Deanna said if I don't get
my home work done, I won't get to go to the football
game Friday night. I saw Laura
at a distance in the Beem Center while I was working on
my intro to writers workbench hopefully it's going well
for her too.
