The Globe Gazette Presents The Second City Touring Company
The Globe Gazette proudly presents The Second City Touring Company on their 50th Anniversary Tour at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on Friday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the 2009-2010 NIACC Performing Arts and Leadership Series. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. This show is not advised for children.

Travel and Adventure Series Explores “Barbados: Island in the Sun”
The 2009-2010 Travel and Adventure Series will continue this month at North Iowa Area Community College. “Barbados: Island in the Sun,” a film by Steve Gonser, takes this season’s series to the white sandy beaches and shining golden sun of Barbados Island.

North Iowans Join NIACC Foundation Board of Directors
The NIACC Foundation recently elected four North Iowans to its Board of Directors. Philip Garland of Garner, LeAnn Hewitt of Ventura, Denise Kuhn of Charles City and Jack Nielsen of Mason City officially joined the NIACC Foundation Board at the December 2009 meeting.

NIACC Offers Baseball Camps
North Iowa Area Community College will hold the NIACC Spring Baseball Camps in February – Pitching Camp on February 13 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Offense/Defense Camp on February 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The camps are for boys in third grade through high school. Participants in the camps will receive a free t-shirt and instruction from NIACC Baseball coaching staff and current college players. Registration for each camp individually costs $50; the NIACC Double Play, participation in both camps, costs only $75.
