North Iowa Area Community College will host the annual North Iowa All-Star games on Sunday, March 29, in the NIACC gymnasium with the Girls All-Star game at 1 p.m. and the Boys All-Star game at 3 p.m.

“This is the fourth All-Star game that we’ve had, and every year it gets bigger and better.  It’s a great opportunity for the players to get to know the people they played against in their respective conferences and to get one final chance to get recognized for all their basketball accomplishments.  Thanks to the players and coaches for wanting to participate and the wonderful year they had,” John Oertel, NIACC women’s basketball head coach, said.

Participating players are nominated by their coaches and will receive a commemorative All-Starr t-shirt.

“I’m looking forward to it since it’s my first all-star game at NIACC, and it’s a chance for the kids to join together and play on the same team and get to know each other.  It’s a real honor for players to be a part of an event like this.  It should be a great event,” Mark Mohl, NIACC men’s basketball head coach, said.
