NIACC Signs 14 Players for 2010-11 Softball Season

North Iowa Area Community College signed fourteen student athletes for the 2010-2011 softball season:  Nakita Coonrod, Leah Durnil, Bree Hackman, Brittney Jost, Maria Levang, Cassie Martin, Kylee Olson, Kristy Riggert, Jessica Schwickerath, Roxy Smith, Karyene Stadtlander, Stephanie Topel, Meridith Worrall, and Jenny Wyborny.

“We have many holes to fill with the graduation of eight outstanding sophomores,” Tyler Sisco, NIACC Head Softball Coach said.  “I am thrilled about the prospects of this incoming class combined with the great group of student-athletes we have returning."

Coonrod graduated from Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School in Minnesota.  She was an All-Section Pitcher and Infielder.

Durnil graduated from Jesup High School and was an All-State Infielder.

Hackman graduated from Charles City High School and was an All-State Pitcher.

Jost graduated from Central Springs High School and was an All-Conference Infielder.

Levang graduated from Forest City High School and was an All-Conference utility player.

Martin graduated from Nashua-Plainfield High School and was an All-State Infielder.

Olson graduated from Valley of Elgin High School and was an All-Conference Outfielder.

Riggert graduated from Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne High School and was an All-Conference Catcher.

Schwickerath graduated from New Hampton High School and was an All-Conference  Infielder.

Smith graduated from South Winneshiek High School and was an All-Conference Infielder.

Stadtlander graduated from West Fork High School and was an All-Conference Pitcher.

Topel graduated from Bay Port High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was an All- Conference pitcher.

Worrall graduated from Charles City High School and was an All-District Catcher.

Wyborny graduated from RRMR High School and was an All-State Pitcher.
