From North Iowa Area Community College, www.niacc.edu NIACC Athletics News Ref. 3011 North Iowa Area Community College is extremely saddened to learn that the much-publicized potential donation to save the football team that was presented to the administration earlier this week was not able to be substantiated. The College continues to mourn its football program, which ended this year due to budget reductions. NIACC continues to work with players on the football team to assist in their efforts to either transfer to another school with football or remain at NIACC to pursue their education. If a student decides to stay at NIACC to pursue his education, his scholarship will be honored. To clarify Kevin Griffin’s role with the NIACC football program, he was invited to help with our spring football camp as a volunteer.
