The 2009-2010 Travel and Adventure Series will conclude this month at North Iowa Area Community College. “Inside Ireland,” a film by Clint Denn, takes this season’s series on a winding journey through and around the island of Ireland.
The small size of Ireland – only 302 miles long by an average 50 miles wide - belies the diversity found there. Located on the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula are recorded prehistoric stone sites, ancient monasteries, quaint old villages, dramatic seaside cliffs, and intriguing ports. Ireland offers many wonders, smiling and friendly people, and where tea and scones are a warm welcome at every stop. You will discover that Ireland has a new adventure at every turn.
Join us as we travel from Blarney to Killarney and Cobh to Dublin. The film will cover the entire Island of Ireland where you will meet the people, discover the places, and explore the culture. Come and enjoy the magic that is Inside Ireland.
NIACC and the Mason City Noon Kiwanis sponsor the Travel and Adventure Series. There will be a 15-minute intermission at which time door prizes will be given away. The film will be presented at 2 p.m., on Sunday, March 21, in the North Iowa Community Auditorium.
Admission to “Inside Ireland” is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased at NIACC or from any Mason City Noon Kiwanis member or at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go toward area youth programs. For additional information, call NIACC Continuing Education at 641 422-4258.
