Enjoy a complimentary gourmet dinner while learning more about the Hospitality/Food Service Management program at North Iowa Area Community College on Tuesday, July 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The dinner will take place in the new NIACC dining room, Activity Center Room 128.  Featured at the event will be a presentation by Ken Webber, NIACC director of food services.  Webber, a New York certified executive chef in Hospitality Food Services, will discuss chef and management careers.

Around 643 individuals have been named to the North Iowa Area Community College Dean’s List for the 2009 Spring Semester. That includes 338 full-time students and 280 part-time students who together represent 113 communities in Iowa, 5 states and 6 countries.

North Iowa Area Community College biology instructor, Carol Schutte, is one of 26 scientists recently chosen to attend a global change workshop in Costa Rica sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Schutte considers herself very fortunate to have been selected to participate in the workshop.

North Iowa Area Community College recognized 94 individuals during the annual General Education Diploma (GED) graduation ceremony held May 27 at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus.
