The connection between North Iowa Area Community College president Dr. Michael Morrison and his passion for providing students with access to education will not be lost when he retires later this month.  Margaret MacNider has established the Michael C. Morrison Scholarship Fund through the NIACC Foundation “in honor of Dr. Morrison’s commitment and leadership at NIACC and engagement and support of North Iowa.”

North Iowa Area Community College recognized 51 student leaders at the 18th annual Pathways to Success luncheon.  Honorees were nominated by NIACC faculty and staff for their academic achievement, positive attitude, character, teamwork and ability to inspire others.  The event also featured 2008 Outstanding Alumnus Adam Bleakney, Class of 1997, and 2008 Distinguished Alumna Donna DePrenger, Classes of 1967 and 1969.

Make plans to attend “What’s the Plan? A Creative Gift Planning Seminar” on Monday, April 21, in the Muse-Norris Conference Center at NIACC presented by the North Iowa Area Community College Foundation and Mercy Medical Center Foundation.  The event will offer current information on planned giving presented in an understandable and entertaining manner as well as continuing education credits.

The public is invited to attend the NIACC Alumni Association’s 18th Annual Pathways to Success luncheon on Thursday, April 10, 2008. The event is scheduled over the noon hour in the Muse Norris Conference Center on campus.
