NIACC Endowment: #16 in the Nation
— Only Community College in Iowa —
The Chronicle of Higher Education recently published a list of the Top 20 Community College Endowments, listing the North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Foundation as number 16 in the nation. NIACC is the only Iowa Community College that was listed.
“I would say that this ranking putting The NIACC Foundation in the top 20 in the country speaks volumes about the commitment of our donors to ensuring the future of the college and their commitment to help our students through scholarships,” said Jamie Zanios, Director of the NIACC Foundation.
“The financial results for that particular year are a result of the Foundation Board being good stewards of the funds that have been entrusted to them.
Without the guidance, leadership and example set by the NIACC Foundation, we could not have achieved the success we have. Underlying all of the generosity demonstrated by this ranking is the high quality of a NIACC education and the commitment of NIACC to supporting all North Iowa with its many programs,” Zanios said.
The NIACC Foundation welcomes requests for information on how you can begin an endowment now or through a bequest. Options include Charitable Gift Annuities (which provide income for life) and an endowment at the end of life, to outright gifts of stocks or other marketable assets and of course cash contributions.
Whatever your choice, now is a good time to call the NIACC Foundation to discuss how you might help secure the future of the college and provide increasing opportunities and support for NIACC students. Please check our website at www.niacc.edu/foundation or call is at 641-422-4386 for more information.
“Your gift to the NIACC Foundation, regardless of size is important and is a gift that will go on giving. Leave your legacy today,” said Zanios.
