NIACC JPEC Graduates 18 FastTrac® Students

Eighteen entrepreneurs from ten different North Iowa communities recently graduated from FastTrac® NewVenture™, a ten-week “business boot camp” designed to help new businesspeople develop their business concept and business plan.  As part of the curriculum, FastTrac® NewVenture™ graduates go through all the steps in developing a business plan including feasibility, marketing, insurance and financing.

The graduates (and their companies) are:
Mason City:  Bryan Clark, Robert Fedeler, Laura Gobeli, Paul Katz (Katz Tow & Transport, LLC), Mark Whitten (Earthmedium- Environmentally Friendly Architectural Finishes) Mijean Beyer (Spirited Dove Creations), Jon Salmon, Chad Lutcavish (Midwest Floors)
Nora Springs:  Dan Young (Young Construction)
Osage:  Kevin Eichmeier (Eichmeier Auto Repair)
Plymouth:  Chris Brunsvold (Forest City Ford, Shooters Sports Bar, Forest City)
St. Ansgar:  Katie Heeter, (Turtle Creek Pottery)
Sheffield:  Joel Esslinger, (Ms. Nina’s Dance Center)
Titonka: LeAnn Torney (Iowa Supreme Meats)
Kanawha: Jan Libbey (Mason City Farmer’s Market)
Fertile: Judy Gergen (Mason City Farmer’s Market)
Owatonna, MN: Helen and Jerry Shore (J Shore & Co)

The class was facilitated by certified FastTrac® instructors, Tim Putnam, Ted Bair and Shelly Hagarty with the support of guest content experts from the North Iowa business community.
