Iowa BizNet™, a member-driven, non-profit organization, is a source for solutions that helps small businesses take care of business.  Iowa BizNet™ will be the topic for the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange at North Iowa Area Community College on Tuesday, November 18, in McAllister Hall, Room 104G, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  There is no cost to attend this FREE event.

Jim Heckmann, State Director for Small Business Development Centers, combines his legal expertise with his experience in economic development and local government to delve into the innovative business solutions found at Iowa BizNet™.  Heckmann will explain Iowa BizNet™ solutions such as the HR Navigator, health plan consultants, and how to access “Ask the Expert” for support on issues and questions facing your business.

Prior to being appointed State Director for the Iowa Small Business Development Centers in September, 2007, Heckmann practiced transaction law, facilitated mergers and acquisitions, business planning and publishing law in Dubuque.  He is also a past president, treasurer, and board member of the Dubuque Racing Association, and a former Dubuque City Council member.

To insure adequate space and refreshments for everyone, RSVPs for the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange are appreciated.  For vendors who market goods or services, a limited number of FREE display tables are available.  Please email incubator@niacc.edu or call Liz at 641-422-4384 or toll-free at 1-888-GO NIACC, ext. 4384.

The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is located on the North Iowa Area Community College campus in Mason City, Iowa and provides college level courses and degree programs in entrepreneurship, as well as consulting services for business start-ups and existing industries in the North Iowa region.  The Center also provides FastTrac ® training programs both for start-up companies and established companies.  Space is also available in the North Iowa Business Incubator for start-up businesses.  For more information, contact the NIACC JPEC at 641-422-4342.
