The Iowa Department of Revenue will use the North Iowa Business Incubator on the North Iowa Area Community College campus for an outreach office to answer tax questions for the business community and general public. Free assistance will be provided in these areas: for those who need tax permits, applications for appropriate tax permits and with problems regarding the filing of business tax returns. The office is for assistance only and not involved with tax collection. 

Starting June 4, the office hours for Wayne Brown, Taxpayer Services Specialist, will be every other Thursday from noon to 2:30 p.m. for walk-in assistance.  For specific appointment time requests call 319-366-8480, ext. 115.

Brown has been employed by the Department of Revenue since October 1977 beginning as a Revenue Auditor and promoted through the department to Field Taxpayer Service Specialist in October 1999. The field taxpayer service specialist position is dedicated to providing education and assistance to the citizens and businesses of Iowa. He also conducts classes at NIACC sponsored by the Small Business Development Center each Spring and Fall term through Continuing Education.
