Information technology (IT) is the hidden business asset that is the gatekeeper to vast stores of your valuable company information.  Unfortunately, IT systems are under constant attack from the merely mischievous to the diabolical hacker.  Guarding your company’s IT assets are people who speak a foreign language of bits and bytes, a/k/a your Information Technology (IT) staff.  How helpful would straight answers, in plain English, about protecting your computer system be to you and your company?  Attend the NIACC Entrepreneurs’ Exchange on March 16, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in McAllister Hall, Room 104G, on the NIACC campus to hear answers to your IT questions.

Nate Kueker, Fencig Enterprises,  will provide practical answers to your IT issues during his presentation about data security and planning.  Nate, an Iowa native, is a 2009 NIACC graduate with an ASB degree in IST (Information Systems Technology).  While a student at NIACC, Nate worked full-time in the IT department for a large company.  His job included design and development of database applications for quality control, maintenance of an extensive IT network, and productivity enhancement.  After graduating from NIACC, Nate began his own IT consulting business, Fencig Enterprises.  Nate taps into his 20 years of IT experience, from the large corporation to the independent small business, to help you answer the question: What are you gonna do about IT?
An open forum discussion moderated by Nate will feature a panel of local Information Technology experts.  The experts include:  Pat Palmer, owner of The Computer Guy in Hampton; Jon Heinz, Management Information Systems Director for Metalcraft; and Tracy Purchase, Information Technology and Cybersecurity Instructor at NIACC.  Panelists will address selected audience questions and if you have a specific issue for the panel, e-mail your question in advance to
incubator@niacc.edu.

To ensure adequate space and refreshments for this event, RSVPs for the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange are appreciated.  For vendors who market goods or services, a limited number of FREE display tables are available.  Please email incubator@niacc.edu or call Liz at 641-422-4384 or toll-free at 1-888-GO NIACC, ext. 4384.
