From North Iowa Area Community College, www.niacc.edu John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center News Ref. 2876 If you’ve ever thought “there’s something about grant writing,” then you need to attend the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange at North Iowa Area Community College on Tuesday, May 20 in McAllister Hall, Room 104G, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Lisa Balduf, owner of Grant$, etc. and a recipient of the nationally recognized Grant Professional Certification, will walk you through some basic steps to see if grants can be a part of your funding resource mix and how to go after the grants. There is no cost to attend this FREE event. Individuals who receive Grant Professional Certification (GPC) have met a series of standards set by GPC International which includes tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated achievement and a commitment of service to not-for-profit organizations. Balduf, one of only 170 certified grant professionals in North America, will share her expertise on how to match your organization to appropriate funders and the basic steps to follow in writing a grant. As an added bonus, Balduf will provide are tips she has gathered from grant professionals around the nation.
