Improved navigation, better graphics and a lot of new content characterize the launch of the updated Career & Internship Center website (www.niacc.edu/careercenter) at North Iowa Area Community College.  The useful features include job search assistance, resume and job seeking tools, internship and employment opportunities as well as services for employers.

“When we started this project, we knew that it was important to create an enhanced experience for students, alumni and businesses,” Terry Schumaker, NIACC Career & Internship Center director, said.  “Our goal was to put more information up front and into the user’s hands as a supplement to our array of free services, not as a substitute.”

The NIACC Career & Internship Center provides a wide variety of services to students, alumni, and businesses.  Whether a student wants to explore career options, seek employment or an internship opportunity the Career & Internship Center can help.  Businesses who have an interest in reaching NIACC students and/or alumni for employment opportunities or an interest in learning about hosting student interns can contact the NIACC Career & Internship Center.

The NIACC Career & Internship Center also provides one-on-one support for developing and improving job search skills, including assistance with completing applications, developing cover letters and resumes, interview preparation and much more.
