NIACC Offers New Information Technology Certificates
Apr 23, 2008

Ref. 2875

Short on time?  Can’t get away from your desk to go to class?  Need or want to work rather than go to school?  Looking for a promotion?  North Iowa Area Community College offers Information Technology certificates that provide hands-on experience.  Plus, you can complete a certificate in as little as three months to one year.  Students can complete the Web Content Certificate, Basic Computer Diagnostics Certificate and Foundations of Security Certificate all this summer.  Courses will also be offered this summer for the Project Management Certificate and Video Game Testing Certificate.

“Life is busy, gas is expensive, and time is hard to come by.  We are hoping that these new certificates will provide students with convenient ways to update or pick up new technology skills and improve their job opportunities,” Mary Mosiman, NIACC Information Technology program leader, said.

Each certificate is designed to give students foundational skills to help them get ahead.  And, if students choose to further their education at a later date, all of the new certificates transfer into two-year degree Information Technology programs at NIACC.

Many certificates will be available with on-line, at night and coming soon Webinar style classes to help students complete certificate programs by providing flexibility to fit students’ busy lives.

Contact Mary Mosiman at mosimmar@niacc.edu or 641-422-4149 for more information.

Summer classes start May 5, 2008.
