NIACC Hosts Transition Workshop: Transitioning from High School to College on July 31

Transition Workshop: Transitioning from High School to College will take place at North Iowa Area Community College in the Muse-Norris Conference Center on Thursday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The workshop is designed for high school students with disabilities who are entering their junior and senior year of high school, incoming college freshmen and parents as well as counselors, teachers and administrators who work with students with disabilities. The event is sponsored by NIACC and Area Education Agency 267.
During Transition Workshop: Transitioning from High School to College, participants will gain practical knowledge of disability rights and responsibilities in higher education, learn how assistive technology can aid in accessing and managing material at school and work, increase self-advocacy skills, learn about campus and community resources and much more.
