Over 90 Receive GED Through NIACC

North Iowa Area Community College recognized 94 individuals during the annual General Education Diploma (GED) graduation ceremony held May 27 at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus. 

These graduates have successfully completed the GED battery of tests and obtained their high school equivalency diploma from the Iowa Department of Public Instruction.  Over the past 20 years, nearly 2,600 individuals have passed the GED tests through North Iowa Area Community College.

The NIACC Foundation also recognized the graduates and provided scholarships to 22 graduates.  Two graduates received full tuition scholarships for the 2009-2010 academic year and 20 graduates received a $250 scholarship.  These scholarships were made possible through donations given to the NIACC Foundation.
