From North Iowa Area Community College, www.niacc.edu Workforce Center News Ref. 3171 The Region 2 Workforce Development Partnership is implementing a Summer Youth Employment and Training program in Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Mitchell, Winnebago and Worth counties. The program will provide a quality work experience for North Iowans, ages 16 to 24, who are considered low-income and have an additional barrier to employment. Applicants must reside in one of the above seven counties. Enrolled youth will be placed in a job for approximately six weeks and will be paid minimum wage by the Workforce Investment Act Program. Young people, ages 16 to 24, who are interested in this program may contact Region 2 Workforce Development Center at 641-422-1502. #####
