It’s Mind Mania @ NIACC – x Two!

North Iowa Area Community College’s Mind Mania is the best week of the summer and now campers have the opportunity to have twice the fun!  Mind Mania fans will have a choice of two weeks – June 14 through 18 and June 21 through 25 – or they can double their fun and attend both! 

As always, NIACC takes the best parts of every camp and rolls them into a week-long adventure.  NIACC’s Mind Mania day camp offers campers the chance to exercise their minds in the morning and their energy in the afternoon.

Kids entering grades 4-8 will find out exactly what the summer excitement is all about when they join Mind Mania.  Each of the week-long camps will run every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and lunch will be provided.  Both weekly sessions will follow the same format where each camper chooses one morning course and one afternoon course for the whole week.

Mind Mania kicks off with a welcome program held each Monday at 9 a.m.  A parent open house will also be held each Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.  The open house will allow parents to see the type of activities their campers have been working on all week. Both the welcome program and the parent open house take place in the NIACC Activity Center.

Here are just a few samples of the Mind Mania courses that will be offered for area campers! Galaxies Galore offers campers a chance to travel billions of miles into space to explore the planets and stars as they figure out which planet houses the largest volcano in the solar system (hint: it isn’t Earth!)  Mind Over Muscle is a chance for campers to explore birdies and racquets, pawns and rooks, and balls and lanes.  A five-day tour of food, film and fun awaits campers who register for Passport to the World.
