From North Iowa Area Community College, www.niacc.edu Workforce Center News Ref. 3026 The Region 2 Workforce Development Partnership is implementing a Summer Youth Employment and Training program in Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Mitchell, Winnebago and Worth counties. This program is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the federal government’s economic stimulus initiative. Non-profit agencies may apply to provide a quality work experience to eligible youth in the above seven county region. Those enrolled will be placed in a job for approximately six weeks and will be paid minimum wage by the Workforce Investment Act Program.
