NIACC Introduces Online Associate of Arts Degree
Individuals may now earn an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree through
North Iowa Area Community College via the Internet.
NIACC introduced its initial online classes for college credit in the
fall of 1997. Today, NIACC offers online credit classes in the areas of
communication, chemistry, geography, economics, finance, and career
decision making.
Several other classes will go online shortly, including Art History,
Medical Terminology, General Psychology, Intro to Entrepreneurship,
Public Speaking, Math for Decision Making and Statics. All courses are
taught by NIACC faculty, who also teach in the traditional classroom.
The remaining credits required for the 60-hour AA degree are made
available through a partnership with other Iowa community colleges.
