May 23, 2002 Hoffman Competing at Nationals Phoenix, AZ—NIACC golfer Adam Hoffman, a freshman from Nora Springs, is currently competing in the NJCAA Division II Golf Championships at Palm Valley Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona. Hoffman carded an 80 and 79 in the first two rounds, giving him a two-day total of 159, which is good for 102nd out of 139 golfers. The tournament continues with the final two rounds Thursday and Friday. Hoffman qualified for the national tournament by finishing 3rd in the Region XI Championships in Burlington in early May. Indian Hills of Ottumwa is currently in 2nd-place in the team race, trailing Shelton St CC by 8 strokes. ##### Ref. S1017 |
