May 30, 2002 Brenda Park Signs with NIACC Newman softball standout Brenda Park has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at North Iowa Area Community College next season. Park was a first team all-conference performer in both basketball and softball and also received all-state honors in softball in 2001. "Brenda will be a great addition to our middle infield next year. She has a great arm and good range," said NIACC softball coach Joe Yegge. The 2002 graduate was an honor roll performer at Newman High School. She plans to study business at NIACC. "It’s always great to be able to sign a ballplayer from Mason City and keep them home for two more years," said Yegge. ##### Ref. S1019 |
