Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa and
NIACC Leadership Series Presents Wayne Sotile
With humor and common sense, Wayne Sotile, Ph.D., will
share the secrets of resilient couples and families of all forms and every
age. His message will show people how to live life and help each other
cope along the way. Sotile will teach these secrets in the North Iowa
Community Auditorium at North Iowa Area Community College on Tuesday,
January 13, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 14, from 8
a.m. to 10:45 a.m. as part of the 2003-2004 NIACC Leadership Series.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $15.
Sotile will share ways to juggle work and family and enjoy one another in
the process. Based on his experiences as a counselor to over 10,000
couples, he’ll teach the audience how to become a source of positive
emotions for all the generations in a family.
Sotile, who received a B.S. degree in psychology from Louisiana State
University, a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of South
Carolina and completed his training in medical psychology at the Duke
University Medical Center, and his wife, Mary, co-direct Sotile
Psychological Associates and Real Talk, Inc. Sotile also serves as
Director of Psychological Services at the Wake Forest University Cardiac
Rehabilitation Program. He serves on the editorial advisory panels of
several leading professional journals, is an Approves Supervisor in the
American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and a Fellow in the
American Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Sotile has also received lifetime achievement awards from the American
Academy of Medical Administrators and the North Carolina Cardiac
Rehabilitation Society.
