Foundation to Host 85th Anniversary Dinner and Auction
North Iowa Area Community College is celebrating its 85th
anniversary this year. To commemorate this special occasion, the NIACC
Foundation will host a fund-raising dinner and auction (black tie
optional), called “NIACC’s Night to Shine,” on Saturday, October 11.
All the proceeds will go toward program development and student
scholarships at the College. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the North Iowa
Community Auditorium Gallery with a silent auction and social hour,
followed by dinner and a live auction in NIACC’s Muse Norris Conference
Center. A variety of entertainment will be provided
throughout the evening. As part of the program, several special friends of
the College will be honored with the NIACC Shining Star Award. Over 100 auction items have been donated by individuals and businesses across the region. The lengthy list includes prints by Charles Fritz, David Rottinghaus and Terry Redlin; rides in a hot air balloon, ice boat and WWII plane; as well as jewelry, pottery, dinner experiences, vacation packages, home furnishings, tickets to sporting events, a year’s supply of mouth-watering treats like Krispy Kremes, and much more!
The NIACC Foundation has been working on this event with a regional
planning committee since the first of the year. In keeping with the
anniversary theme, tickets to the event are $85 a person. To make
reservations, please call the NIACC Foundation at 641-422-4269 or 1-888-GO
NIACC, ext. 4269, by September 26. ##### Ref. F1008 |
