March 27, 2003 Outstanding Math and Engineering
Students at NIACC Cookman will attend Iowa State University in the fall to pursue a major in Chemical Engineering. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Joundi will attend Iowa State University in the fall to pursue a major in Electrical Engineering. He plans to return to Morocco after graduation from ISU to apply his education to help improve the technology infrastructure within his country. Zak is a student in the Honors Program. Selection of the students is based on their grade point average and participation in mathematics and engineering classes. The department has selected outstanding students since 1990. The two outstanding students will be recognized at an Open House in the McAllister Hall Science Annex on Thursday, April 10, 2003, from 3 to 4 p.m. ##### Ref. MATH |
