FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 5, 2004 Ref. 2478 NIACC Hosts College Tech Prep Senior Celebration on May 11 North Iowa Area Community College will host a College Tech Prep Senior Celebration on Wednesday, May 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the College’s Activity Center. The event will recognize graduating high school College Tech Prep seniors with a medallion and certificate of recognition. The audience will include students, parents, school administrators, counselors and teachers. Dr. Michael Morrison (retired 2008), NIACC president; Brian Eckhoff, a CAL-Dows High School student in the Automotive Technology Academy; Sara Shores, a Forest City High School student in the Health Careers Academy; and Shane Flaherty, a Mason City High School student in the Information Technology Academy will all speak during the Celebration. Graduating seniors this year are from CAL-Dows High School, Charles City High School, Clear Lake High School, Forest City High School, Garner-Hayfield High School, Hampton-Dumont High School, Lake Mills High School, Mason City High School, Mason City Alternative School, North Central High School, North Iowa High School, Sheffield-Chapin/Meservey-Thornton High School, West Hancock High School and Woden-Crystal Lake-Titonka High School. Every senior recognized has participated in one of the College Tech Prep programs, including Automotive Technology, Clear Lake; Automotive Technology, NIACC campus; Building Trades, NIACC campus; Business Programs, NIACC campus; Climate Control, NIACC campus; Information Technology, Garner; Information Technology, Mason City; Health Careers, Mason City; Health Careers, Britt; and Tool and Die, NIACC campus. #####
