NIACC Hosts 3rd Annual Wired Differently Information Technology Day for Women North Iowa Area Community College, the NIACC Pappajohn Business and Entrepreneurial Center and the North Iowa Career Center will celebrate women, ideas, goals and all things that are Wired Differently during an Information Technology Day for Women. Wired Differently for Women will take place on Tuesday, June 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at NIACC’s Pappajohn Business and Entrepreneurial Center. The event is free for participants. Participants in Wired Differently for Women will receive a free event t-shirt, enjoy a free pork loin dinner and be eligible for a drawing for free NIACC technology classes. The first 30 women enrolled for Wired Differently for Women will also receive a free Microsoft XP Office book. The evening will offer a hands-on session on how to buy and sell collectibles on eBay and the great careers and business opportunities in technology for women. Wired Differently for Women will feature Monica Doyle, who has been teaching people how to sell on eBay for over five years. As an eBay Education Specialist trained by eBay and the principal of her own eBay consulting business, Just Show Me How (www.justshowmehow.com), Doyle's passion is now her career. The event will also highlight Barb Lovick, who is an area collector that regularly busy and sells items on eBay.
