FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ref. 2488 July 7, 2005 NIACC John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center and Small Business Development Center Host Entrepreneurs’ Exchange on July 19 Win the war on marketing your business! Learn the "Guerrilla Marketing" techniques to create big profits from small businesses at the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange at North Iowa Area Community College on Tuesday, July 19, in the Pappajohn Business Center, Seminar Room 117 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the event, and all attendees will receive a free copy of the book Marketing Warfare, by Al Ries and Jack Trout. Entrepreneurs’ Exchange will allow North Iowa entrepreneurs the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, exchange ideas and learn about new ways to improve business. Maureen Collins-Williams, Director of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Regional Business Center/SBDC in Waterloo, will serve as the guest speaker. A graduate of UNI with a BA degree in Public Administration, she is a certified trainer for Fast Trac, NxLevel, ISED and NIFTE entrepreneurship training programs. Collins-Williams has been instrumental in raising over $2.1 million in outside funding to promote programs and launch new entrepreneurship initiatives in eastern Iowa, including the UNI Regional Business Center, an urban mixed-use business incubator, and a rural business accelerator program called MyEntreNet. This is a free event and businesses of all sizes are welcome to attend. Tables for product/service displays at the event are also available to business owners by reservation.
