Iowa’s community colleges are giving opportunities to Iowans like me to get the skills we need to return to the workforce or get better paying jobs.  I want to stay in Iowa after I graduate, and I want to earn a better living for my family—that’s why I choose to attend NIACC.

There are many more Iowans like me who want to go to a community college to improve their lot in life.  Whether people have lost their jobs due to widespread layoffs in Iowa or need to update their skills to continue to be successful at their jobs, the people in Iowa look to our community colleges to improve our future. 

Plus, over 90% of Iowa’s community college graduates stay in Iowa after they graduate—meaning the skills they learned are put to work here at home in our communities.

I appreciate your support of the role our regional community colleges play and ask for your continued support for community colleges throughout the upcoming legislative session.
