This course follows the NIACC semester schedule with specific due dates for assignments, tests and research. It is recommended for students who are good readers and self-starters.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
STUDENTS WILL:
Identify (memorize) various historical art periods, artworks and artists of the Western World from the Renaissance through the present time. Contrast various art periods or artworks as to their style characteristics, artists, materials, purposes, & dates. Recall various art terms, media, and techniques. Analyze the interrelationship between people’s creative achievements and their society ( art reflects life) (everything ends in excess).
