Course Description:
Emphasis on business applications of computer software. Students
do business problems using word processing, electronic spreadsheet,
and database management software. Students are also
exposed to Windows operating systems, presentation software,
and the Internet. (45-0)
Equivalent to 15-134, COMP-101.
Notes: E - Proctered Exams, S - This course uses Microsoft Office 2007 Professional which includes MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access. The student must have access to a computer with this suite of programs. Office is available in most of the student computer labs at NIACC and the NIACC Charles City Center. There is also a student version that is available for sale at retail stores and online retailers that sell computer software.
